I finished The boy in the Striped Pj, and let me say, it was a great book. Although happy at times, it was a very saddening book. Just the thought of a little boy growing u near a concentration camp makes me shiver. They end up looking for Shumels father, and both end up gettin extermanated (aka they died). I think that if Bruno actual knew what went on in their, he wouldnt have done what he did. This must have been terrible times if they killed that many people like that. The father ends up looking for his son realizes his lesson, and continues working for Hitler. Wait, what. I didnt understand why he continued working for Hitler, why not run away. Over all, I give this book 8 out of ten stars (it was slow to start up). Erin and Andrew B.

Recently, I finised reading "Marley and Me". Continuing with post 6, Marley then becomes not the only other person in the family. The owner then takes him to a dog beach. This was hilarious becuase the oly rule was not to let your dog poop in the water, which Marley eventual ends up doing by drinking to much seawater. The family then have two childeren. This can be unfortunant, as I know from my brother. Altough I wouldn't know how a dog would feel about it. Then, "Marley is called to be in a movie. Although the first day didn't go so well. Marley was supposed to walk out of the car with a kid, bu he ended up dragging him out. I then tought well what do you expect. Hes a rambunctious dog, isn't this why you casted him? Strangly, the director calles him back for another day of shooting (I can't understand why) and before you know it, the movie is out. Although Marley was in the movie for a couple of minutes, he ended up in the credits. This was ridicules, I thought. He was only in the movie for a couple of minutes, so why should he be in the casting list, besides, hes a dog. Then the family moves to Pensylvania. I thought this part was hilarious because the kids thought there would be pencils on the trees. Then the book goes on to tell about Marley's first winter. It tells about how Marley jumped on a sled with his owner and nearly hit a tree while going down a hill. Then it tells how Marley was getting older, and eventualy died. This was the most saddening part of the book. Although in the last pargraph, it tells how the owners end up adopting a dog they thought Marley was reincrated into. I give this book 4 and a half stars out stars out of five.

I started reading "the boy in the striped pjs". It Seems like a good book, after all who hasn't seen the movie. Its about a boy whos father is a german officer in WWII. They were from Berlin to a remote town in Poland. This is strange, because if you moved a major military man into a remote location, isnt the chances for assanation a lot greater than him living in the fatherland? So Bruno(the boy) starts to walk around his house, and decides its small and he hates it. He caould trade that house with butlers for my house any day. One day, he decides to go exploring. He finds a boy in a concentration camp name Shmule. Shmule is from Poland, and his mother was seperated from him. Talking to Shmule, he soon relizeses that he does have a friend near OutWith (the house). This is as far as i have gotten. Unfortunantly, I know how it ends.

This week, I started reading "Marley and Me". Personaly, i have not seen the movie, and my mother bought some books for my brother, so it looked ok and i started readin it. I'm only acouple of pages in, but it looks ok. Its so far about how a man and his wife start ro adopt a dog. The dog Marley(which is named after the famous regae musician Bob Marley) is a energenic dog to say the least, and the family ends up adopting him. Marley supposedly has a beat to his tail wagging. The more you interact with him, the faster the beat of the tail gets. This is really starting to remind me of my dog. Then, it descibes how big the dog gets, and compared to my dog, this one is like a small cat. But overall, marley is turing out to be a big dog. Then, the man takes him to a lake, and unleashes him. This is the part that puzzles me. I cannot understand why the dog didnt start running away. This is what most young dogs that I know would have done. He then plays around with him and starts throwing sticks. This is all I've read so far, so stay tuned for more Marley!!!

Last week, i finished reading parrot in the oven. In the end i thought it was an alright book, although it had no plot. For example, it went from manny's grandmother dying to a boxing match. Although, for all I know (which isnt alot), it could be a collection of short stories. But unless anyone reads the book and proves me wrong (hint hint), than im sticking with a book with no plot. I also didnt get the point of the gang. So manny was unpopluar, and turns to a gang, it just doenst make very much sense to me. And then manny starts to walk up to the mall with a fellow gang member, his friend steals a purse, and runs away. See what i mean about the no plot part?

Parrot in the Oven-1
A few days ago, I choose the book "Parrot in the Oven" at random. I'm only twenty or so pages in, but it seems like a good book. The main charecter (Manny) is a twelve year old boy with a brother named Bernardo (Nardo). All Nardo does is weight lifting, which his father doesnt aprove of. Manny comes from a poor family of illeagal imigrants from mexico. Their family is so poor, in fact that thir father has a saying for them, "People are like money, some people are a thousand dolla bills, and they get by just fine. It's the same for hundred, ten, five, and one dollar bill people. But below that, people are dimes and nickles. We are pennys." When Manny goes by a sports shop, he sees a nice looking baseball glove. All though he doesn't have any money, he is determined to get that glove. But to get the money he has to go to a pepper picking field with his brother. Although his brother comes, the manager sends them to a un-watered field. But them they are picking, the immagration controll. They catch Manny and Nardo, so they can collect all the other picked peppers.
